Getting started
How do I add a family member?
Tap Add member, enter their phone number or pick it from your contacts, and send the invite. They install SherTrack, open the link and accept. Their location then appears on your map.
Can I see someone's location with only their phone number?
No. The number is used to send an invite. A person's location is shown only after they install SherTrack and agree to share it with you.
Does it work between iPhone and Android?
Yes, any mix of devices can be in the same Circle.
Location & alerts
Why does SherTrack ask for "Always" / background location?
Arrival and departure alerts need to work when the app is closed. You can pause sharing or change the permission anytime in the app or in your phone settings.
A location isn't updating
- Check that location permission is set to Always (iPhone) or Allow all the time (Android).
- Turn off battery saver / Low Power Mode, and on Android set SherTrack's battery usage to Unrestricted.
- Make sure the phone has internet and the app is updated.
How do I set up Home or School alerts?
Open Places, tap Add place, choose the location and radius, and pick who you want alerts for.
Subscription
How do I cancel?
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SherTrack → Cancel.
Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SherTrack → Cancel.
Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play under their refund policies.
I paid but premium isn't unlocked
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy.
Privacy & account
How do I stop sharing or leave a Circle?
Go to Circle → your name and switch off sharing, or tap Leave Circle.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion on our account deletion page.
Report misuse
If you think someone is using SherTrack to locate you without your consent, remove the app from your phone or leave the Circle, and email support@shertrack.app. We take this seriously.
